Connecting Monroe’s Job-Seekers and Employers
MonroeWorks aims to be a resource to job-seekers and employers. The City of Monroe is committed to facilitating the individual connection to assist each candidates in receiving their full potential and collaborating with our employers to build a stronger local economy. MonroeWorks.org is a centralized information hub to help residents, businesses, and the general public learn more about the power of training programs and where to find resources, local job opportunities, and build collaboration. We are not here to replace the wonderful services and resources, but to enhance and get the word out. Our partners and the City are committed to joining you on your journey to success. Our goal is to get locals hired, foster long term employment, identify and mediate barriers, and partner to build a stronger economy for our employers.

MonroeWorks is a collaborative effort led by the City of Monroe City Manager and his team. For more information, please contact Teresa Campo, Economic Development Director. This initiative is a result of the City's recognition by the National League of Cities as a Good Job Great City destination. Special recognition and appreciation to our GJGC Cohort members South Piedmont Community College, UNiSon, NCWorks, Centralina Workforce Development Board, and our community partners for all the work in making this possible.
In 2023, Monroe was one of 16 cities nationwide recognized by the National League of Cities and the U.S. Department of Labor as a Good Jobs, Great Cities Destination. Learn more about this initiative and Monroe’s status as a Destination City here.
